FLEMINGTON, N.J. (Aug. 3, 5:15 p.m. EDT) — A new Web site making its debut in October promises to bring the human element to the online buying of new injection molding machines.
The site, www.yourmoldingmachine.com, will offer help in all areas of machine purchases, including specification, installation, start-up and training.
The company is funded by Gordon Darling, president of manufacturer´s representative Superior Industrial Corp. of Flemington, N.J.
"There are simply not enough knowledgeable sales reps — engineers who fully understand the technologies they sell — to go around," said Darling in a written statement. "The mission of yourmoldingmachine.com is to provide a fast way to review equipment, with seamless technical support and greater assurance when purchasing machinery."
The site will include links to resources to specify injection presses. Each customer will be connected to a `relationship manager´ to help with the transaction, Darling said.
An online request for quote will offer financing options, and a "consultants´ corner" will put engineers in touch with experts throughout the United States for professional advice on machines, Darling said.
The company initially will market the online-purchased machines in North America, Central America and the Caribbean. The company also intends to license the technology to partners in Europe and Asia.
