Joe Pryweller is a senior reporter in Plastics News' Akron office, responsible for covering e-business, mold making and design, and special editorial projects. He formerly was the weekly newspaper's automotive reporter based in Detroit from December 1996 until January 2000.
A Michigan native, Pryweller graduated in 1980 with a bachelor's degree in communications/business from Michigan State University, and earned a master's degree in journalism from the University of Missouri in 1987. In between he worked for four years as a business and entertainment reporter at the Daily Press in Newport News, Va., and for three years as a senior editor and writer for the American Society of Interior Designers in Washington.
He joined Plastics News from Brookfield, Wis., where he had been a senior writer at Bader, Rutter & Associates, the largest public relations/advertising agency in Wisconsin.
