Since 1984, Blaige has led in the negotiation, sale, acquisition and financing of privately owned and closely held companies.
Prior to joining Goldsmith Agio Helms in 1994, he was with Prudential Capital Corp., where he participated in the acquisition, with management, of numerous middle-market private companies. During this period, Blaige also successfully merged his family's high-technology business into a large public company.
Most recently, he was a managing director with a national mergers and acquisitions firm and was a principal in its plastics group. In addition to his extensive experience in identifying and negotiating with key buyers to maximize value, he has particular expertise in deal structure and financing issues.
He received his bachelor's degree in business administration from Loyola University of Chicago and his master of business administration degree in accounting and finance from Northwestern University's Kellogg Graduate School of Management.
Blaige is president of the Kellogg Alumni Club of the Twin Cities. He is listed in ·Who's Who in Finance and ManagementÃ¶ and has been a guest lecturer in consulting and entrepreneurship at the University of Illinois at Chicago.
He is a member of the Society of Plastics Engineers, the Society of the Plastics Industry Inc. and the Beta Gamma Sigma National Honorary Society.
