Engineering Recycling Maschinen und Anlagen GmbH said its HG hot die face water ring pelletizer goes easy on knives.
Erema said a new design means pelletizing knives last up to nine times longer than its earlier model because of a new cutting geometry and technology that allows adjustment of the knife and cutting pressure during the pelletizing process. Automatic pressure and speed controls keep the machine working in consistent fashion regardless of the operator.
Erema, of Linz, Austria, said the HG can be added to any conventional extruder.
In other news, Erema developed a single-shaft shredder to handle large-volume material such as rolls of film or startup lumps, called the Coax line.
The company´s U.S. unit, Erema North America Inc., is based in Topsfield, Mass.
