Editors Note: This letter refers to a cartoon on Page 7 of the Dec. 18 issue that poked fun at Dun & Bradstreet Corp. for its database of women-owned businesses. The list put Foamex International Inc., a company then headed by a man, as the top woman-owned U.S. plastics company. The cartoon showed a man dressed as a woman with a wig, wearing a skirt and smoking a cigar.

So this is what you think of the ladies in the plastics business? I didn´t see any ladies that look like this at NPE — we are all well-dressed professionals.
Please re-draw your cartoon. We think it´s the right thing to do, seeing that you have offended all the women in our business.
