Ms. Komarmi and the ladies at Shuman Plastics must have gone off in a huff before thinking about the cartoon in question because they completely failed to comprehend the sarcasm (``Cartoon is deemed offensive by group," Mailbag, Jan. 8, Page 8). The cartoon wasn´t making fun of women in the plastics industry at all. It was making fun of men that try to gain advantage by creating the illusion of a minority-owned company.
It seems that many of us are getting so sensitive that it is affecting our power of comprehension.
