The Madison Group has developed a Windows-based software that simulates compression molding of thermoplastic composites, called Cadpress-Thermoplastic.
The software simulates mold filling, fiber orientation, part shrinkage and warpage, and the part´s structural properties. The program takes into account solidification, fiber orientation, and non-Newtonian and nonisothermal models, according to the company, based in Madison, Wis.
