LAHTI, FINLAND — Senior managers at Eimo Oyj's Kuortti, Finland, injection molding plant are buying the operation for an undisclosed sum, the company announced last week.
The facility makes a variety of components for the building, electrical/electronic and home appliance sectors. The management buyout team is led by former plant manager Kristiina Wessman.
The facility employs 20 and operates about 20 molding machines with clamping forces of 55-220 tons. It generates annual sales of about 1.5 million euros ($1.3 million).
Lahti-based Eimo sold the plant because it wants to focus on its lower-cost facilities.
