Additionally, Roe manages the "early supply involvement team," which actively engages with customers during the design phase of projects to offer enhancements to product designs ensuring manufacturing robustness, quality, precision, and interchangeability.
Prior to joining the Scottsdale, Ariz.-based Tech Group, Roe was a tooling program manager at Apple Computer Inc., in its PowerBook division. His responsibilities included materials research, product design enhancements, management of international tooling programs, vendor selection, and supply chain design and qualification.
Before joining Apple, Dave work for GE Plastics in several technical roles, including field technical service supporting multinational consumer technology customers such as Apple, Hewlett Packard Co., Sun Microsystems Inc. and Cisco Systems Inc., as well as various contract manufacturers and plastic component suppliers.
Roe has published several papers as well as developed and taught several courses, including an "Injection Molding Tooling Design" course at Santa Clara University. He received both his bachelors of science and masters of science degrees in plastics engineering from the University of Massachusetts at Lowell.
