SUNNYVALE, CALIF. — Shielding For Electronics Inc. has reorganized into two divisions, including a shielding-products unit and a decorative-services division.
The firm has opened a Sunnyvale headquarters to support its Form/Met technology for shielding electronic devices from electromagnetic- and radio-frequency interference. The additional facility will contain a design center, prototyping laboratory and test site.
The decorative services division continues the company's 28-year history in that market, which began under the former ownership of Vacuum Platers Inc. Production for both divisions occurs in Mauston, Wis.
Form/Met involves thermoforming a thin film substrate, vacuum metallizing the material and inserting the part between a plastic housing and its electronic board.
