Michael Paslawskyj is responsible for managing CIT Group Inc.'s applied economic research function, and each year he helps to write the group's in-depth plastics trade and economic outlook.
Paslawskyj joined CIT in 1984 as a senior planning analyst. He was promoted to manager of corporate development in January 1987 and to assistant vice president in May 1987. He assumed his current title and responsibilities in 1989.
CIT Group (www.citgroup.com), founded in 1908, is one of the nation's largest public commercial and consumer lending organizations, with a strategic business unit that focuses on plastics.
Prior to joining CIT, Paslawskyj worked for two New Jersey banks and a New York securities trading firm.
He holds a bachelor of arts degree in business administration and economics from Rutgers College in New Brunswick, N.J., and graduated with honors from Fairleigh Dickinson University in Madison, N.J., where he received his master of arts degree in economics.
