PLOVER, WIS. — A small, Wisconsin-based bottle blow molder is branching out, building its second manufacturing facility, in Michigan City, Ind.
Construction is set to begin next month for Online Packaging Inc.'s 25,000-square-foot facility. President Roger Teske said tax incentives from the city and the location's closeness to Midwest customers encouraged the move.
The $2 million facility is to be operational in August, and will be equipped with Uniloy Milacron blow molding equipment, Teske said.
The Plover-based company plans to hire 17 full-time employees at the new location. Twenty are employed at the 30,000-square-foot headquarters operation.
Online Packaging molds and fills containers for antifreeze, bleach and other cleaning agents. Teske declined to provide sales information for the company.
