CAMBRIDGE, ONTARIO — Integrated Packaging Films Inc. of Cambridge recently completed a 5,000-square-foot facility in Tempe, Ariz.
The facility now serves as a warehouse but eventually will be equipped with an extrusion line to coat thermoformable films for electronics packaging customers on the West Coast, said President Bill Mechar.
The new location should reduce freight costs 5-10 percent and product lead times by about five days for IPF's customers, he said.
IPF converts thermoformable films from PVC, PET and polystyrene for computer components and other electronics packaging applications, he said. Products range from anti-static recycled PET for shipping trays to high-end electrostatic-dissipative materials for clean-room packaging.
