DALLAS — A $5 million technology investment will produce a 104,000-square-foot manufacturing facility for Miami-based Nailite International Inc.
The manufacturer of injection molded polypropylene siding announced its new facility at the Remodel America show, held March 29-31 in Dallas.
"Our target is to be able to ship any order, for any product, in any quantity, in three days," President Howard Wasserman said in a telephone interview from the company's headquarters. "We're confident that within three to four months of completing the move, we'll be at that level."
The move is set for completion this month.Wasserman would not disclose how many machines the firm will house in the 90,000 square feet reserved for manufacturing and warehousing. However, he did say the company has a number of 1,000-ton machines and is adding one 1,400-ton press, plus a new materials-handling system.
Currently, the firm occupies nearly 75,000 square feet among three locations, said Vince Sciarrabba, vice president of sales and marketing. The firm leased former facilities and will be renting the new one. Wasserman said the company processed "well above 10 million pounds" of resin in 2000 and has witnessed consistent growth during the past few years.
"We have grown in excess of 20 percent over the last couple years and expect to continue that over at least the next three years," he said.
Wasserman would not disclose Nailite's annual sales.
