David White directs sales and marketing for the composites group of Dearborn, Mich.-based Meridian Automotive Systems Inc. (www.meridianautosystems.com), a $1 billion, 30-plant supplier of interior and exterior parts.
The Tier 1 and Tier 2 supplier was born in 1999 from the merger of American Bumper & Manufacturing Co. and Lescoa Inc. The bulk of the composites group came in Meridian's purchase last year of Cambridge Industries Inc. That unit molds exterior panels for the Corvette and Dodge Viper, and the first all-composite pickup box for the Chevrolet Silverado.
White has been an automotive sales and marketing executive for 13 years, the past nine in the Detroit area. Prior to joining Meridian, he served as sales director for the Alcoa Fujikura Ltd. division of Alcoa, and vice president of that group's AFL Integrated Products, a precision injection molder and stamper.
