Chen Hsong Machinery Co. Ltd. launched its all-electric injection molding machine at HK Plas 2001, a trade show in Hong Kong.
The Eco Series of all-electric press uses 35-60 percent less energy than a hydraulic machine, Chen Hsong said. Also, plasticizing, clamping and ejecting can be performed simultaneously.
Another new press, the Jetmaster C Series, has a five-point toggle clamp for stability and a shorter stroke, with a five stages of injection speed and seven stages of injection pressure, making the presses suitable for high-precision molding. Although not all-electric, JMC presses also boast energy savings, of 30 percent, from a hydraulic pump that automatically adjusts output.
At HK Plas, the Hong Kong company also showed the Swift SR-1200 side-entry robot for small-tonnage injection presses of clamping forces from 128-268 tons. Chen Hsong offers the Swift with either pneumatic or servo-electric power.
