Nozzle maker Herzog USA, founded last year by its Swiss parent, has moved to Hamstead, N.H., from Haverhill, Mass.
The move comes because of increased sales of Herzog shut-off nozzles, which formerly marketed as Xaloy products, and from growth of new product lines and partnership agreements, according to the company.
Deborah Szenftner, product manager, said the new headquarters includes a 1,500-square-foot warehouse to stock assemblies and spare parts.
Herzog's new products include a line of water-cooled nozzles for liquid injection molding and silicone rubber molding. The company also has developed nozzles for running the MuCell process, as well as gas- and water-assisted injection molding.
Herzog AG's sales agreement with Xaloy began in 1992 and expired effective Jan. 1, Herzog said.
Meanwhile, Herzog USA formed several agreements to distribute products. The company is selling bimetallic barrels and screws for twin-screw extrusion, made by Talleres Pena SA of Barcelona, Spain. Through Fluitec Georg AG in Winterthur, Switzerland, Herzog offers a line of mixing elements and heat exchangers. An agreement with Pittaluga SAS of Turin, Italy, allows Herzog USA to sell vacuum cleaning furnaces for cleaning machine nozzles and other components.
Herzog AG is headquartered in Wolfertswil, Switzerland.
