IPSWICH, MASS. - A 1 1/2 mile move in July will allow Erema North America Inc. to more than double its space and add a demonstration area for its recycling systems.
The company is moving into a new, 10,000-square-foot facility in Ipswich, a short distance from its previous home in Topsfield. The transition is under way, as new telephone and fax numbers have been activated. Tim Hanrahan, vice president of sales, said he expects the move to be completed by July 23.
``We've been here almost nine years,'' said Hanrahan, ``but as we keep selling more and more machinery, we've outgrown our space.'' Erema is moving from a 4,200-square-foot building.
He said the new site will allow customers to see the machinery in operation. It also will contain an expanded spare-parts area.
Erema offers complete plastics recycling equipment including pelletizers and screen changers. Erema technology is developed and manufactured by Erema GmbH in Ansfelden, Austria. The parent firm claims that more than 1,400 of its systems are in use.
