MACFARLANE GROUP PLC - Graham Casey was appointed managing director of Macfarlane Packaging, the division that includes the group's U.S. polystyrene foam padding firm, Macfarlane Western Foam Inc. of Hayward, Calif. Casey formerly was chief executive of Glasgow, Scotland-based Macfarlane's labels business, which was absorbed into the new packaging division.
NOVA CHEMICALS CORP. - The Pittsburgh commodity chemical company named Grant Thomson vice president of sales for its polyethylene polymers business, Ronald Hornack vice president and general manager for automotive, and John Siegrist vice president for its styrenics polymers business.
PETCORE - The European PET recycling association has appointed Frank Koelewijn to take over as its director general in place of Henk Hansler. Koelewijn was director of European regulatory affairs at Kimberly-Clark for the past five years and previously set up the company's European environmental office. He was chairman of the environment committee of the American Chamber of Commerce in Belgium. His first major task is to oversee Petcore's move from its present base in Haarlem, Netherlands, to Brussels, Belgium, before the end of the year.
