IMS Co. of Chagrin Falls, Ohio, is selling new conveyors, loaders, chillers and other auxiliary equipment and supplies.
IMS has introduced the CV100 part/runner conveyors. One person easily can do fingertip adjustment of height and tilt angle, thanks to gas springs. Lever locks are loosened to change the position of the legs.
The conveyor comes in four types: 3-foot horizontal, 6-foot horizontal, 6-foot inclined and 9-foot horizontal-to-inclined. Each style is available in three widths — 12 inches, 18 inches and 24 inches
A new chiller, the MicroMax, is compact yet provides enough cooling for most small to midsize injection presses.
IMS also is stocking the Line Vac, which moves large volumes of pellets, regrind, scrap material and even small parts over long distances using a vacuum. It has no moving parts. Compressed air flows through the inlet into an annular plenum chamber. The air is injected into the throat through directed nozzles, creating the vacuum.
The HandWorker pneumatic power device turns hand tools such as gate cutters and crimpers into power tools, minimizing strain that can lead to carpal tunnel syndrome.
Rout-A-Burr deflashing tools trim flash while adapting to the part profile, thanks to a pivoting carbide-steel blade.
IMS also announced its granulators now come with dual feed hoppers as an option. A front opening allows for manual feeding, while robots can drop parts through a chute on top.
IMS also has begun stocking Safeseal premium tool steel protectant.
