ABC Group Executive VP Frank Schmidt
TORONTO - ABC Group Inc. Executive Vice President Frank Schmidt died Dec. 3 of cancer. He was 48.
Schmidt spent 33 years with the Toronto-based injection and blow molder as a factory worker, plant manager and general manager.
He also was a member of the Canadian Plastics Pioneers Quarter Century Club.
Former Wheaton executive John Glowacki
SHENANDOAH, PA. - John Glowacki, a former executive vice president of Wheaton Industries Inc.'s plastic products group, died Nov. 25 from liver cancer. He was 53.
A senior member of the Society of Plastics Engineers, Glowacki received a patent in 1996 for his design of an electric injection blow molding machine, according to his wife, Grace Glowacki. He carved a 20-year career in the plastics industry that included a stint as vice president of operations for the former Troisdorf, Germany-based Battenfeld Fischer Blasformtechnik GmbH.
He left Milleville, N.J.-based Wheaton in 1997 to start his own consulting firm. Glowacki died at his home in Shenandoah.
