Campbell spent 27 years with the converting machinery manufacturer in management positions. Before he rejoined Black Clawson, Campbell was vice president of marketing for Cloeren Inc., a coextrusion feedblock manufacturer in Orange, Texas.
CUMBERLAND ENGINEERING CORP. - The South Attleboro, Mass.-based manufacturer of size-reduction equipment named John Farney national sales manager.
DURAKON INDUSTRIES INC. - The Lapeer, Mich.-based thermoformer named Edward Gniewek president and chief executive officer. Gniewek joined Durakon earlier this year as chief operating officer.
EASTMAN CHEMICAL CO. - The Kingsport, Tenn.-based chemical and plastics manufacturer announced several management changes. J. Brian Ferguson was named chairman and chief executive officer, succeeding Earnest Deavenport Jr., who retired at the end of the year. Ferguson was president of Eastman's chemicals group. Allan Rothwell will leave his post as executive vice president of the polymers group to become executive vice president of Eastman Chemical Co. and president of Voridian Co. Jim Rogers, currently senior vice president and chief financial officer with Eastman Chemical, also will serve as chief operations officer for Eastman Co., overseeing business in the chemicals group.
FORMALL INC. - Henry Rose, president and chief executive officer of the Knoxville, Tenn.-based thermoformer, retired Nov. 30. Rose was a founder of the firm and was succeeded by Byran Yarnell, who was vice president. Majority owner Gerd Krohn has become the firm's chief executive officer.
LDM TECHNOLOGIES INC. - The Auburn Hills, Mich.-based auto supplier named Alan Johnson president and chief executive officer, succeeding Richard Nash. Johnson most recently was executive vice president, Americas and Asia, for Southfield, Mich.-based Federal-Mogul Corp. He also has served as president and CEO of battery maker Exide Corp. in Ann Arbor, Mich.
OWENS CORNING - David Brown was named president, chief executive officer and a director of the Toledo, Ohio-based composites and building materials manufacturer. He will replace Glen Hiner, who will retire April 18. Brown most recently was chief operating officer. Chief Financial Officer Michael Thaman was appointed to Hiner's vacated chairman post. Maura Abeln Smith, current chief restructuring officer, general counsel and secretary, was appointed to the board. Dick Lantz was named president of the firm's new composites and roofing unit.
