Stull Technologies has beefed up its sales team as part of its plan to continue as an independent company.
The Somerset injection molded closure specialist named Jack Corcoran vice president of sales and marketing. Stull also recently appointed Gary Legora senior account manager.
Stull was to be bought by blow molder Captive Plastics Inc. in early 2001. The firms, however, called off the deal; Stull officials declined to comment on the decision. Several months later, Piscataway, N.J.-based Captive acquired the assets of blow molder Star Container Co. from Tech Group Inc. of Scottsdale, Ariz.
According to Stull, the revamped sales team will strengthen the company as it continues under ownership by the Stull family. The firm also plans to launch a closures program and improve plant efficiency.
Corcoran, a 25-year plastics veteran, had worked as northeast regional sales manager for blow molder Progressive Plastics Inc. of Cleveland. Legora previously spent 13 years at Stull and returned from a sales management position with contract packager and packaging producer CCL Industries Inc. of Toronto.
