Hilltech Custom Injection Molding Inc. is to begin operating by the end of April.
The Titusville custom molder will begin production in a 7,500-square-foot facility with two 200-ton and one 150-ton Van Dorn Demag machines, said owner Bill Hill. The operation will employ a few family members to get started.
``It's a mom-and-pop shop for now, anyway,'' he said.
Hill had partnered with Rod Swim to form RPS Tool, Design & Fabrication, a modular mold systems firm also based in Titusville. The two formerly worked with Hillsman Modular Molding Inc., another Titusville modular systems firm.
RPS opened in June and Hilltech was supposed to be started in conjunction with that business, but Hill said that plan did not work out.
Hilltech will serve several industries including aerospace, automotive, marine, communications and electronics.
