DOW CORNING CORP. - The Midland, Mich., material supplier named Andy Tometich president of Multibase SA, based in St.-Laurent-du-Pont, France. Tometich was most recently program manager with Dow Corning's plastics program.
MANN+HUMMEL AUTOMOTIVE INC. - Claude Mathieu was named president and chief executive officer of the automotive parts maker based in Portage, Mich. Mathieu was most recently managing director with Solvay Automotive's air induction system and technical parts business. He replaces James Riordan, who is moving into an advisory role in preparation for retirement.
MITTEN VINYL INC. - The Paris, Ontario-based vinyl siding manufacturer named Jay Riley vice president of its U.S. sales force.
RESIN TECHNOLOGY INC. - The Fort Worth, Texas-based resin purchasing cooperative announced three new managing partners: Gus Garrett, formerly with Dow Corning Corp.; Dave Ticko, most recently with BP Amoco plc; and Mike Burns, formerly with H. Muehlstein & Co. Inc.
SCHMALD TOOL & DIE INC. - Laurie Moncrieff, president of the Burton, Mich.-based mold maker and tooling shop, is the recipient of the 2002 John G. Thodis Michigan Manufacturer of the Year award. A third-generation owner, Moncrief is a board member of the new Lansing-based Coalition for the Advancement of Michigan Tooling Industries.
