Rotational molder Hardigg Industries Inc. is taking advantage of a $113,170 matching grant from the Massachusetts Division of Employment and Training to sharpen the skills of 244 employees.
According to Jon Kallio, Hardigg's safety and training coordinator, the grant will help train employees in advanced leadership, problem solving, project management and cross training.
He said new skills are helping the company retain ISO 9001 certification.
It's the second matching grant the South Deerfield firm has received. In 1999, it used $50,000 from the state for computer training and other skill-building courses.
Hardigg makes products such as shipping cases, kayaks, equestrian tack boxes and golf-ball washers.
