Keller HCW GmbH of Ibbenburen, Germany, is marketing a special machine that makes plastic film by the skiving process — a knife slices off a billet of plastics.
The film is reeled onto a mandrel using a precision machine.
Keller has added more optional equipment, such as an automatic partition of the film lengthwise, which allows it to be reeled onto separate mandrels. The company also added separate controls for the skiving and reeling tensions.
