Vecoplan LLC dedicated a new, 30,000-square-foot, North American headquarters in Archdale, N.C., in April.
The company makes single-shaft rotary grinders.
More than 100 Vecoplan employees, dealers, customers and media representatives attended the grand opening.
“Our new facility allows us to bring sales, manufacturing and service under one roof with more room immediately, plus room for future expansion,” said Len Beusse, chief operating officer.
The company treated guests to a barbecue party, with entertainment from a bluegrass band.
In product news, Vecoplan said its new ReTec RG52FF rotary grinder is designed to shred flexible materials that tend to “self-feed,” such as film and synthetic fibers being reclaimed for extrusion.
Specifications include a hopper opening that measures 52 inches by 58 inches and a two-speed hydraulic feed ram.
Vecoplan LLC was born in 2000 when Vecoplan Maschinenfabrik GmbH & Co. based in Bad Marienberg, Germany, merged with ReTech Industries Inc. of High Point, N.C. The company initially was based at the ReTech office in High Point.
The new address is: 5708 Uwharrie Road, Archdale, N.C. 27263.
