With work growing in Europe and Latin America, bottle and closures distributor All American Containers Inc. has opened a new headquarters and plans a second new warehouse early next year.
The Miami company launched a 150,000-square-foot warehouse site - with 2,500 square feet devoted to offices - on June 1, said President Remedios Diaz Oliver. The site replaces a smaller former warehouse and office nearby.
Another new site, a 140,000-square-foot warehouse, will open by early 2003 in Tampa, where the company now has another office, Oliver said.
Both expansions are needed as the packaging company moves further into foreign markets, Oliver said. The 41-year-old distribution company has made headway into Central America, Europe and the Caribbean, Oliver said.
``We needed more space so we can stock more items and ship them more easily,'' Oliver said.
With the additions, the company will have four warehouses, including facilities in Mexico City and San Juan, Puerto Rico. All American offers a stock line of PET and high density polyethylene containers.
The company also ships glass and metal containers and various pumps and sprayers.
