Designed for injection molding machines, Bosch Rexroth Corp.'s MBT series of high-torque electric motors features direct-drive technology that eliminates mechanical drivetrain elements.
The MBT can simplify the design of injection presses. It also improves accuracy and dynamic response, according to the company.
Synchronous, frameless motors produce torque of as much as 3,820 foot-pounds at speeds of 100-750 revolutions per minute.
According to the company in Hoffman Estates, Ill., the motor exhibits very low “torque ripple” — making it well-suited for plastics injection molding machines, robots, rotary tables and woodworking equipment.
