Magnum Venus Products, a subsidiary of Graves Spray Supply of Clearwater, Fla., has announced two new spray guns for composites.
The Cipher Gun is an airless, internal-mix, chop-and-impinge gun. The gun uses Magnum Vanus' new Fluid Impingement Technology for fiber-reinforced plastics applications.
Similar to Magnum's MVP ProGun, the Cipher mixes resin and catalyst, and chops glass fibers. Improvements to the new gun include a hard-anodized head, lightweight design and simpler design with fewer parts.
The Maximus Gun also uses FIT, which the company said produces low emissions and less over-spray.
Magnum Venus said the patented FIT process was created by its new Advanced Design Group, a team of engineers, designers and machinists.
Design group members hold more than 20 patents.
The company announced the patent on FIT in April.
