Magna Kansei Ltd. has launched a £4 million ($6.2 million) automated assembly plant in Washington, England.
Magna Kansei is based in Sunderland, where it already employs 500 designing and injection molding a variety of plastic automotive parts.
The new, 65,000-square-foot facility will supply dashboard modules for the new Nissan Micra, due to be launched next year.
The Washington plant started production with 80 employees.
