Thank you for your Dec. 16, Page 1 story “Closure makers tackle kid-proof twist.”
We are a small closure molding company. This is the first time that I heard about the Consumer Product Safety Commission's guidelines. It looks like the big companies got information on these guidelines a long time ago. Not us. We do not have the resources to invent and test a new product.
Does this mean that the small companies are doomed? Does anybody really believe that after opening a cumbersome device that the device will be closed properly again? It will stay open for easy access of the content to everybody.
I think that parents have to be more responsible for their children. Almost everybody tries to blame somebody else for their problems.
