Two executives are leaving injection press maker Engel North America: Reinhard Rieder at Engel's Guelph plant, and Jim Moran from its operation in York, Pa.
Rieder was named executive vice president and general manager at Engel North America in 2000. Contacted at his home, Rieder confirmed that he resigned, citing personal reasons. He said his last day will be May 19. A company spokeswoman in Guelph said his resignation was accepted by officials at the parent Engel Vertriebsgesellschaft mbH in Schwertberg, Austria.
A native of Austria, Rieder had worked in customer service at Engel in Canada during the 1980s, then left in 1989 to run a manufacturer of plastics packaging.
At York, Moran is leaving as Engel sales manager, but is staying close to home. Moran will become sales director of the Americas for Graham Machinery Group, a blow molding equipment maker, also based in York.
Moran will join Graham in early March, said Steven Wood, chairman and chief executive of Graham Machinery.
Engel North American builds injection molding machines with clamping forces up to 500 tons in Guelph. The York factory builds larger injection presses.
