A&A Global Industries Inc. added two 500-ton Van Dorn presses at its plant in Timonium in March at a cost of $800,000.
William Belke, division manager - plastics, said the move will increase its capacity by 20 percent. It reported throughput last year of 2.5 million pounds. The firm now operates 18 presses with clamping forces of 75-500 tons.
The company also has hired six workers, bringing its total to 30.
A&A, which serves markets ranging from automotive to telecommunications, reported injection molding sales last year of $3.6 million.
