Atlanta-based Process Control Corp. is expanding beyond its base of auxiliary equipment for extrusion and is moving into injection molding.
The company hired James Martin as vice president of sales and marketing for its new molding division. Martin most recently worked at American Tool & Mold Inc. in Clearwater, Fla. Before that, he ran injection press reseller Classic Plastics Machinery in Brunswick, Ohio.
Process Control has developed two smaller versions of its Guardian gravimetric batch blenders, for injection molding.
The company makes blending and materials-handling equipment, and dryers.
In dryer news, Process Control said its D series of desiccant dryers have simplified controls, are easy to maintain and save energy. They were designed for throughputs of up to 2,500 pounds an hour of materials that require a high temperature, such as PET. The smaller DP series, which tops out at 100 pounds per hour, is available in a portable model.
The company's engineers developed a simple design that gives easy access to all important parts.
