Asahi Kasei Corp. (Booth S2549): Engineering resins from Asahi Thermofil's new Fowlerville, Mich., plant, and nylon and acetal compounds from Asahi Kasei Plastics America Inc.
Brevini Riduttori SpA (Booth N5798): Gearboxes for heavy-duty shredders capable of handling truck and automotive tires.
CMP Sales Inc. (Booth E9363): Extrusion blow molding equipment maker will announce a distribution agreement with Central Machinery and Plastic Products of Gujarat, India, and present an accessories line for leak detectors, grinders and other products.
DTR Software International Inc. (Booth S3138): Version 9 of its Manufacturing Manager software, with updated inventory management features and a business-intelligence tool identifying bottlenecks in the supply chain.
Hong Kong Mould & Die Pavilion/Hong Kong Mould & Die Council (Booth N7944): Group of 10 companies showing cutting-edge technology and competitive mold products from Hong Kong and mainland China.
Hosokawa Alpine American (Booth N5166): Three-layer coextrusion film line running 63-inch, converter-grade film, with newly designed barrier screws in diameters of 50 and 75 millimeters. New TBF 25-50K side-fed die. Reverse IBC for maximum film quality and output. AutoTherm heated die auto-gauging system. ATR oscillating haul-off and WD16.700Z tandem gap winders. AEC total control system.
Krauss-Maffei Corp. (Booth S2002): Range of two-platen injection presses, including a KM 80-220 C2 multicomponent press as a bolt-on, second injection unit that can be moved from one press to the next. A 180-700-520 C3 Revolution press with 200 tons of clamping force, running opposing injection units and a rotary table between the two platens. Another C3 press will run packaging on a 144-cavity stack mold. A hybrid 110-ton Eltec press will run a liquid silicone rubber part. Also, a new line of robots.
Liquid Control Corp. (Booth N4330): New high-pressure impinge mix C-Spray reaction injection molding gun and metering/tempering unit designed to spray coating into molds to form a tough skin backed with flexible foam.
Moldflow Corp. (Booth S862): Manufacturing Solutions Software and enhancements to Plastic Insight 4.1 software package, specifically targeted at molders.
PIV Drives GmbH (Booth N5798): Gearboxes for plastics machinery including Positwin GL model with high torque and small axles for twin-screw extruders.
Prestige Mold Inc. (Booth N8447): Use of manufacturing cells and state-of-the-art automation systems that include carousels and robots, allowing shop floors to run unattended.
Randcastle Extrusion Systems Inc. (Booth N4544): New Taskmaster compounder can devolatilize with a single screw. The prototype built for NPE is the first horizontal extruder from Randcastle, which tradionally sells vertical extruders. Featuring special feed section, triple venting with a 36:1 length-to-diameter ratio, up to 280 rpm and 7½ horsepower for this 1-inch model.
Rocand Industries (Booth E13220): Information on its new five-axis, computer numerically controlled machining center and recent product developments. A fuel tank, with the mold made by Rocand, and other products.
Van Dorn Demag Corp. (BoothS2202): All-electric injection press with direct-drive, new series of hydraulic presses, multicomponent machine, El-Exis S press for fast-cycle molding of thin-wall parts.
Welex Inc. (Booth N4501): New Evolution line of sheet extrusion systems with take-offs that feature direct-action linear bearings, direct-acting rigid roll gap stops with digital, motorized adjustment, centralized air bleeding system and continual centrifugal solids separator. Also, Hercules industrial sheet lines with special equipment to cool thick, wide commercial sheet.
