WINCHESTER, MASS. (June 18, 3:45 p.m. EDT) — Gefran ISI Inc. (Booth N6155) of Winchester is exhibiting the MJ melt-pressure transducer for injection molding nozzles and the MK4 series of absolute linear transducers with magnetostrictive technology.
The MJ is revolutionary because it measures dynamic pressure rather than static pressure, said Mark Caldwell, Gefran ISI vice president. Beta testing of the MJ began in January.
Gefran ISI manufactures, markets and services melt-pressure control and monitoring systems and gauges in Winchester. Also, Gefran ISI handles North American sales, marketing and distribution of extrusion and injection molding automation and process controls made in three other Gefran SpA plants in Europe.
ISI was founded in 1987. Gefran SpA of Provaglio D´Iseo, Italy, near Milan, bought ISI in 1999.
In other news, Steve Dwyer joined Gefran ISI in April as sales manager for the nine-state West Coast region.
