CHICAGO (June 22, 2 p.m. EDT) — Bruckner Maschinenbau GmbH (Booth E12713) has signed a contract to supply the largest biaxially oriented polypropylene film line in Asia.
Bruckner will ship the BOPP film line to Anhui Guofeng's film plant in Hefei. The 33-foot-wide line will be able to produce more than 10,000 pounds per hour in gauges of 12-60 mils. Bruckner officials did not disclose the cost or delivery schedule. Anhui Guofeng already operates two Bruckner stretching lines.
The line will be the fourth 33-foot BOPP line shipped worldwide by Bruckner. Features include a twin-screw extrusion system for process stability and high output, multilayer coextrusion for advanced properties, energy-efficient oven and high-speed chain track system with low maintenance requirements.
Bruckner, based in Siegsdorf, Germany, sold 24 complete stretching lines in 2002, or more than a 50 percent market share, it claims. Its sales last year climbed to 254 million euros ($240.3 million). More than 500 Bruckner film lines are running around the world.
