Mexico's biggest plastics trade fair has moved its dates next spring back by a month, avoiding direct conflicts with two other industry exhibitions. Plastimagen Mexico 2004 now will take place April 27-30 in Mexico City, instead of the previously announced dates of March 23-26.
The original dates overlapped with the March 22-26 Argenplast 2004 show in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and the March 23-25 Plastics Encounter Southeast event in Charlotte, N.C. After realizing the conflicts, Plastimagen organizer Oprex SA de CV polled exhibitors and opted to change the dates.
Plastimagen last was held in September and drew more than 29,000 visitors from 29 countries to see its 718 exhibitors, according to Elena R. Maribona, Oprex director. That was the first time the show, which runs from midday Tuesday through Friday evening, took place at the newly built Expo Sante Fe, which still was being completed at the time. More information about the show is available online at www.plastimagen.com.mx.
