L-R Systems (N4326) of New Lenox, Ill., is displaying portions of its new custom line of process cooling and heating products.
L-R sees the line as complementing its materials-handling systems that blend, load, dry and grind resins, said Richard Pasteris, sales manager.
During the past year, L-R worked with a contract manufacturer to create the new line of temperature controllers for water and oil units, portable and central chillers, pump tanks, tower cells and filtration equipment. L-R hired a product specialist with a decade of experience in the industry and commissioned a crew for installations.
L-R soon plans to expand its product line to include robots for downstream automation.
L-R is exhibiting an upgrade of its redesigned series of weigh-scale blenders, including a controller with a color touch-screen interface. The 5200-Series control displays operation in real time, helping a processor understand each batch's exact material blend and usage.
Blender throughputs have increased. The WSB-100 blender can feed most material at rates up to 1,000 pounds per hour rather than the previous 600, and the larger WSB-1000 can feed 1,500 instead of 1,000. A processor can buy a less expensive unit to gain capacity, the firm said.
L-R employs 40, occupies 30,000 square feet and is an operation of family-owned Lasits-Rohline Service Inc.
