Auxiliary equipment maker CRG Logics Inc. will be expanding its business to make screen changers and pelletizers from Italian firm Plast Hi Tech srl.
CRG, based in Lake Bluff, Ill., signed an agreement to sell and service PHT's line of screen changers and pelletizers in the United States about a month ago, CRG President Carl Gillig said June 25 at NPE in Chicago.
The company will ramp up to manufacturing and will make the complete line of screen changers within nine months, Gillig said. CRG is interested in broadening its product line, he said.
CRG introduced three models of PHT screen changers at NPE: a manual model, a hydraulic model and a dual-piston continuous screen changer. It will also sell and make a water ring pelletizer from Ferrara, Italy-based PHT.
CRG has annual sales of about $2 million and employs 14. It plans to add three employees as a result of the PHT agreement.
CRG primarily manufactures gravimetric blenders, resin conveying and extrusion control systems.
