CHICAGO (July 14, 2:30 p.m. EDT) — Hubron Manufacturing Division Ltd. stepped up marketing of its carbon blacks in North American at NPE 2003, its first time at the show.
Hubron of Manchester, England, emphasizes repeatable quality, high loadings, finely dispersed concentrates and a range of carriers, Huber Managing Director Keith Simms said at the Chicago show.
The firm announced an expanded range of carbon blacks, including PVB 21, which provides strong coloring power with economy in a 45 percent-loaded concentrate with an ethylene/vinyl alcohol copolymer carrier. Other grades in the PVB series are highly loaded materials aimed variously at specialty and general usage.
Hubron has been direct-selling to large customers in the United States, but it is interested in lining up distributors to broaden its market coverage.
