CHICAGO (July 16, 2:30 p.m. EDT) — CDL Technology Inc. debuted a line of high-torque, twin-screw extruders with barrel diameters ranging from 30-160 millimeters.
The Addison, Ill.-based firm said the line features components similar to those in CDL's custom single-screw machines, but CDL uses a standardized development process to cut delivery time and costs of the twin screws.
CDL said the new extruders are available in standard speeds of 300-900 revolutions per minute. They are designed to handle a range of resins at high production volume and with accurate shear control, the firm claimed.
