Irwin Research & Development Inc., which makes thermoforming equipment in Yakima, Wash., introduced the Model 3060, a small-bed version that accepts trim-in-place tooling for polypropylene cups and containers.
The machine does pressure forming, vacuum forming and plug-assist forming. It runs parts to a maximum depth of 6 inches. All axes are driven by servomotors.
The 3060 uses Irwin's Ballerina personal-computer-based controller.
