German injection molder Wilden AG has opened a plant in the Czech Republic, marking its first large-scale production with clean room facilities.
The plant in Dysina will have about 40 employees and will produce polycarbonate covers for automotive lighting supplier Hella AG. The facility will have three injection molding machines, each with 880-1,100 tons of clamping force, according to the Regensburg-based company.
The work site includes space for expansion and marks the company's third plant in the Czech Republic.
Wilden has annual sales of about 188 million euros ($208.7 million), with about 10 percent of its sales coming from the auto industry.
