Auxiliary equipment supplier Hotset Corp. is expanding its headquarters in Battle Creek.
The 5,000-square-foot addition will house the company's engineering, sales and administration offices, President SreKumar Bandyopadhyay said in a telephone interview. The plan does away with office walls and is designed to give each unit of the company better access to information.
The end result should allow engineers and sales executives, for instance, to produce better parts by understanding customers' needs, he said. The company also will create employee training offices.
Hotset, which is affiliated with Hotset GmbH of Ludenscheid, Germany, makes electric coil and cartridge heaters for injection molding.
