Technovel Corp. of Osaka, Japan, said its four-screw extruder for compounding, reactive processing, recycling and other applications takes up less space than a conventional twin-screw machine and uses less power.
Other benefits include longer reaction time, better venting functions, improved material feeding, better material dispersion and stable, accurate operation, the company said.
Technovel also makes twin-screw extruders. Both the twin-screw and four-screw machines are marketed under the KZW name.
The machines also can do direct extrusion into profiles, cast film, pipe and other products.
