Dukane Corp. of St. Charles, Ill., said its DPC II Plus ultrasonic generator's plug-and-weld system recognizes modules as they are added or removed from the generator and automatically reconfigures the user interface.
Another new feature, called hot keys, allows one-step access to frequently used commands.
Dukane also unveiled two linear vibration welders. One is a standard 50-inch welder for oversized pieces and the midsize 38-inch model. Drive heads permit the welder to handle heavy tooling at high frequencies, resulting in shorter weld times.
Also new: a series of horizontal hot-plate welders called the Model HHB1223P. The machines use advanced programmable logic controller dual-heating zone. The control panel moves the operator through the menus to setup the process and modify the setting.
Dukane also said its two new spin welders, the 3HP and 5HP (Model SVB031 and SVB051) expand the range of applications for spin welders by using variable frequency drives coupled to a standard programmable logic controller user interface.
Dukane also issued two upgraded versions of the DPC-I compact ultrasonic generator. The unit is designed for markets where it is integrated into automated ultrasonic welding machines for continuous use.
