As marketing director for Dow Chemical´s North American polystyrene business, Jeff Denton´s responsibilities span all strategic markets. He is charged with leading the development and launch of Dow's global Styron A-Tech advanced technology PS resins platform, and with chairing the cross-functional North American operations team.
Denton joined Dow at its Midland, Mich., headquarters in 1987 in the commercial development program. The following year he transferred to the Cleveland sales office, where he served as an account manager in Dow's chemical division specifically focused on the calcium chloride and magnesium hydroxide business groups.
In 1994 Denton returned to Midland as a market research specialist, and later that year became a market development manager for the medical sector in the firm´s engineering plastics and styrenics business. Denton joined Dow´s polystyrene business in 1996, and since then has overseen various global and North American marketing and market-development initiatives. He assumed his current role in 1999.
Denton earned a bachelor´s degree in business administration from Alma College in Alma, Mich., in 1987.
